Hornby 690 class 2P 4-4-0

I purchased this and 1507 from Facebook Marketplace for $50. It was very oily and dirty and did not run. So it as stripped down and thoruoghly cleaned. Upon inspection the reason for its no run problem was a track pin stuck between the chassis and the motor causing a short. Once cleaned and put back together it runs well but with not much power. Magnet seems strong but maybe if I replaced it then would get a better result re power.
